Product Overview:

Designed specifically for Team Losi XX and LXT rear hubs, this 3/16" Axle Crush Tube & Shim Set ensures correct bearing preload while eliminating the risk of bearing bind. Each set includes a precision-machined crush tube along with 4 fine-tuning shims, allowing you to achieve the perfect fit for your hub assembly.

Correct installation of an axle crush tube is essential. Once fitted, the wheel should be able to be fully tightened without creating any bearing bind. Failure to achieve this can place excessive load on both the bearings and driveshaft, leading to premature wear or damage.

If bearing bind is still present after installing the crush tube, simply use the supplied shims to fine-tune the overall length. Due to the tight manufacturing tolerances involved, we recommend adding one shim at a time and checking for free bearing rotation with the wheel fully tightened. Continue adjusting until the wheel spins freely with no binding when fully tightened. 

As part of routine maintenance, periodically check the crush tube and shim setup, as repeated wheel removal and installation can affect the assembly over time.
